Sahagún Background:Tourist developments in our country such as the ones at the coast of Oaxaca are windows of Mexico to the people from other places. It is of vital importance that artistic and cultural expressions represent the true values of the region. The object is to avoid the false and frivolous appearance of a cultural vacuum and to separate this values from the centers of recreation and entertainment. Objective:Research, prepare, elaborate, assemble and promote an exhibit of a contemporary interpretation of our prehispanic and folklorist legacy in an itinerant form beyond the borders of the country. This also servers to promote tourism in the state of Oaxaca and the southeast of Mexico.. Thematic Content of the Exhibit:
Pieces Included in the Exhibit:21 pieces of art which include oil paintings on canvas measuring 1 x 1m., mixed techniques on amate (bark) paper and watercolors of different measurements, and some object-art sculptures. |
